Prime Minister Ivica Racan for brief a talk. #L#
The meeting took place before the pope received more than 10,000
Croatian pilgrims who tanked the Holy Father for his third visit to
Croatia this summer.
Racan presented the pope with two books - one about his 100th
pastoral journey outside Italy and third visit to Croatia, and a
book about the history of ties between the Croatian people and the
Holy See.
During the talks with the pontiff, Racan was accompanied by his wife
Dijana Plestina, his deputy Goran Granic and Croatian Ambassador to
the Holy See Franjo Zenko.
