According to the Slovene News Agency STA, Rop said that the issues
of Croatia's joining the EU and it's decision to proclaim the
protected zone in the Adriatic were not connected.
"Slovenia is convinced that Croatia's joining the EU as soon as
possible is good not only for Croatia but for the entire region and
Europe as well," said Rop adding that the two countries must solve
fishing and environmental issues in the Adriatic together.
