The funds, which will be ensured by the International Bank for
Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), will be used for the
reduction of nutrients in the City of Zagreb, namely for a project
of the biological purification of waste waters. The project will be
partly funded by the World Bank and party by the city.
This deed of donation is the 33rd deed of this kind from the World
Bank to Croatia. In this way, Croatia has so far been granted over 23
million dollars, the minister added.
After the signing of the agreement, Crkvenac was asked by reporters
why Hungary's MOL had not yet paid 505 million dollars for shares in
the Croatian oil company INA.
Crkvenac explained the completion of said transaction was a matter
of hours and that delays were caused by extensive paperwork.
