Cacic said the government had fulfilled its promise to complete the
project both in terms of organisation and funding, and that there
were no financial obstacles to its implementation.
The obtained loans, totalling 1.712 billion euros, are needed to
finance the highway construction programme for the 2001-2005
period. In the same period, HAC is expected to earn 1.167 billion
euros by collecting road tolls and taxes on the sale of oil
products, Cacic said.
