John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University on
Wednesday staged two seminars -- one dealt with transatlantic
relations in the time of new global realities an the other with
economic development as a catalyst for stability and security.
At the seminar on the impact of economy on stability and security,
Grdesic said that economic development had a significant impact on
the strengthening of the stability in some countries and in
Southeast Europe.
Grdesic said Croatia was realising a high economic growth of about
five percent and was successfully implementing an economic reform.
He added the country's goal was membership of the European Union.
The meeting was also attended by diplomatic representatives of
Croatia, Slovenia, Greece, Cypress, Hungary, Romania, Serbia and
Montenegro, Macedonia, Moldova and Turkey.
