Scarpa said that after Croatia proclaimed the zone the situation
got complicated but that a solution would be found.
"I hope that the meeting (with the Croatian Ambassador) will help
the launching of permanent cooperation between Italy and Croatia,"
said Scarpa.
"Speaking on behalf of Italy, in no case can we accept the loss of
even one job in the Adriatic fishing industry," Scarpa said.
Speaking about Italy's fishing boat "Conte Bianco" which was
stopped by Croatian authorities on Wednesday, Scarpa said Italy had
earlier put its satelite surveillance system on Croatia's disposal
so that the authorities of both countries could be connected and
establish the location of the boat.
The Croatian Foreign Ministry said on Friday that Kraljevic and
Scarpo agreed at their meeting that the Italian ministry put 'ad
acta' on the so-called Adriatic case.
