Under the law, seven percent of stocks after the privatisation of
state-owned companies, such as the INA oil company and Croatian
Telecom which have already been privatised, or Croatian
Television, Croatian Post, Croatian Forests, Croatian Waters,
Croatian Highways and other state-owned companies which have yet to
be privatised, will be transferred to the fund.
The fund will manage the stocks in the interest of Homeland War
veterans with the aim to advance their financial situation.
Parliament also adopted a series of laws from the European Union
package, including a law on the protection of copyrights and
similar rights which introduces the obligation of copyright and
user associations to negotiate the royalty amount.
MPs also adopted amendments to a law on profit and a law on income
which foresee the introduction of tax relief for research,
development and education in trades and crafts and similar
professions.
