Colonel Ivan Grujic, head of the government office for detainees
and missing persons, said the persons in question were most
probably prisoners from Negoslavci killed in 1991.
There were several women among the victims who were mainly middle-
aged or elderly people, he said adding that gunshot wounds were
found on them.
The Negoslavci mass grave is the 50th mass grave found in Vukovar
county and the 137th in Croatia. It was discovered by employees of
the government office for detainees following a tip from Serbs, who
make up a majority in Negoslavci.
