ZAGREB, Sept 23 (Hina) - Croatian Economy Minister Ljubo Jurcic held talks in Zagreb on Tuesday with his Lithuanian counterpart, Petras Cesna, the Economy Ministry said in a statement.

During the talks, the two officials agreed to promote cooperation
between the countries' business people, especially in the power,
textile, food and wood-processing industries.
Jurcic proposed that the two countries sign an agreement on mutual
investment promotion and protection as soon as possible.
The Lithuanian minister said cooperation between Croatia and
Lithuania had not been intensified enough, but he added that
bilateral trade had seen a steady increase over the past several
years.
In this year's first seven months, trade between Croatia and
Lithuania totalled US$5.4 million, an increase of 42.4 percent
compared to the same period last year. Croatia's exports accounted
for 3.5 million of the amount.
Last year's trade totalled $6.59 million, with Croatia's exports
accounting for 4.25 million of the amount.
