Pupovac said this commenting on a statement which the president of
the Vojvodina parliament, Nenad Canak, made after talks with
Croatian President Stjepan Mesic. Canak said he suggested Mesic
that a Croatian parliamentary delegation should visit Vojvodina to
get acquainted with the experience of multilinguality in
Vojvodina's parliament in which Croatian is one of the five
official languages. The meeting should also be used for launching
an initiative for the implementation of the Serbian language in the
Croatian parliament, in line with the principle of reciprocity.
"I must admit that apart that issue, Serbs in Croatia have more
difficult issues. First of all, we need the return of refugees, the
restitution of property and reconstruction," Pupovac said.
