Strugar informed Ewe about six schools having been reconstructed in
Vukovar-Srijem County, where there were 43 schools, including
those for ethnic Serb children.
Ewe was particularly interested in work with Romany children.
The minister said significant progress had been achieved in that
area and cited the example of the Medjimurje region, where Romany
assistants were preparing Romany children for primary education
within a new pre-school programme.
