ZAGREB, Aug 25 (Hina) - The president of the Croatian Social
Democratic Party (SDP) and Prime Minister, Ivica Racan, said Monday

sent to parliament. #L#
Racan talked to reporters ahead of an SDP presidency session which
he said would focus on topical issues.
He said he did not know whether the set of said measures would be
discussed at the session. He did say, however, the presidency would
debate not so much Croatia's debt as the problem of the balance of
payments where problems lay.
Asked about a coalition between the SDP and the Istrian Democratic
Assembly (IDS), the prime minister said the parties agreed to
forming a coalition in principle, but the date of signing an
agreement to that effect had not yet been set.
The SDP presidency is also scheduled to discuss issues within the
party itself.
