Tourists along the Adriatic realised 23.98 overnight stays or three
percent more than in 2002, the board said.
In July alone, more than two million people chose the Adriatic as
their tourist destination, which represents an increase of five
percent in relation to the same month the previous year.
Of the total number of tourists in Croatia, 84 percent are foreign
citizens (3.85 million), the majority of whom come from Germany,
Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Austria, Italy, Hungary, The
Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The number of Croatian citizens vacationing on the Adriatic
amounted to 736,500, four percent more than last year.
