ZAGREB, Aug 4 (Hina) - Pope John Paul II has appointed Archbishop Francisco Javier Lozano new apostolic nuncio to Croatia, the Croatian Catholic news agency IKA reported on Monday, quoting a statement from the Office of the Apostolic
Nuncio. Lozano was born in 1943 in Villaverde de Iscar, Spain, and was ordained in 1968. He holds a PhD in moral theology and philosophy, and has been in the service of the Holy See since 1976. Lozano has worked in papal diplomatic missions in Nigeria, South Africa, Yugoslavia, Guatemala and in the Office of the Secretary of State in the Vatican.
