ZAGREB, July 31 (Hina) - Croatia's foreign debt at the end of the first half of this year totalled nearly US$18.6 billion, or 3.2 billion more than at the same time last year, the Croatian National Bank said on Thursday.

More than one third of the increase was due to inter-currency
changes, while in real terms the debt grew by US$2 billion,
according to preliminary figures from the central bank.
Most of the debt was incurred by the state and banks.
