The negative sales trend in Poland has been stopped through changes
in management and other business moves, so that the company expects
growth in this very important market, the president of the
management board, Darko Marinac, said.
Commenting on media reports of an alleged crisis in the company,
Marinac said: "We're not closing down our factories abroad, but it
is true that we're looking for the best way to ensure their
continued operation once the countries in which the factories are
situated join the European Union," Marinac said.
He acknowledged that Podravka had had business problems in Poland
and that all those responsible had been replaced.
