ZAGREB, July 19 (Hina) - More than 1.95 million tonnes of waste were collected in Croatia last year, of which 51.9% or more than one million tonnes is waste from households, 48% or 938,200 tonnes is waste from small businesses while
more than 1,000 tonnes was imported, the Central Bureau of Statistics reported. Data that refer to waste management are interesting. Only seven percent of waste was recycled last year, one percent was burnt without the use energy, 74 percent of waste was sent to waste disposal sites, 18 percent was sent abroad while only 163 tonnes of waste was burnt with the use of energy.(hina) it
