Picula said Italy's presidency over the European Union was
important for Croatia and voiced confidence relations between the
two countries would continue to develop.
Before taking the post in Zagreb, Grafini was the Italian
ambassador to Bulgaria, an EU applicant, which experience should
enable him to better understand the problems Croatia is
encountering on the road to the Union.
