Only the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and the Croatian Peasant
Party (HSS) participated in the debate. The bill was supported with
minor objections.
Economy Minister Ljubo Jurcic said that under the amendments
lawyers and representatives of companies authorised for bankruptcy
activities would be appointed trustees in bankruptcy, should they
meet necessary conditions, namely hold university diploma and pass
an expert exam for trustee in bankruptcy.
Parliament resumed the session with a debate on the privatisation
of the INA oil company, namely the government's decision of
Thursday to sell 25% plus one share to Hungary's MOL.
