ZAGREB, July 9 (Hina) - Croatian President Stjepan Mesic on Wednesday received the outgoing chief of the European Union Monitoring Mission in Croatia, Antonin Mac Unfraidh, Mesic's office said in a statement.

Mac Unfraidh said he was satisfied with the progress Croatia had
achieved on the road to the EU.
Mesic thanked Mac Unfraidh for the cooperation and support Croatia
received from the Monitoring Mission.
The talks also addressed the situation in the region.
