Turkey's President arrived in Zagreb earlier in the morning on a
two-day official visit to Croatia.
The Croatian Chamber of Commerce will host the business forum of the
two countries later in the day.
"This business forum, and the bilateral free trade agreement which
took effect on 1 July could make significant headway in the
improvement of economic cooperation," the Turkish head of state
said.
Turkey supports Croatia's strategic goals, and is offering its
experience as a NATO member, Mesic added.
The membership in the European Union is the joint objective of the
two countries, President Sezer said adding that his country backs
Croatia's bids to enter NATO.
"Croatia's accession into NATO is important for stability and
security of south-eastern Europe," he said.
