the future course of privatisation. #L#
The HFP cannot exist in this way any more, Tomcic said, adding that
"this way of privatisation and servile attitude towards those
issuing orders is no longer productive".
He expressed hope that the government would have the strength to
change the course of privatisation in a peaceful way, and added this
would primarily be done by laws on privatisation and Croatia's
property fund, as well as by redefining the HFP.
Speaking about the coming privatisation of the country's oil
company, Ina, Tomcic said the government and parliament, which
passed the law on Ina's privatisation, were in charge of the
privatisation and not the HFP, and that there had been no
"escapades" in the course of the company's privatisation.
Commenting on the decision of four opposition parties -- the
Croatian Democratic Union, the Social Liberals, the Croatian Party
of Rights and the Democratic Centre -- to boycott voting in
parliament, except on their own motions and laws adjusting
Croatia's legislation to the EU's, Tomcic said the decision was
legitimate, but added one should not fear for the parliament's
work.
He added the ruling coalition would "regroup" and that a day was
likely to be set when MPs of the ruling coalition would have to be in
parliament to vote on laws, which would be the day when "we will be
able to make all decisions".
