A report on the ombudsman's work submitted to parliament says the
ministry does not carry out Administrative Court decisions and even
comments on court rulings.
In today's statement, the war veterans' ministry rejects this
accusation and says it fully complies with Administrative Court
decisions and the law in general since 3 January 2000, the date of
the last parliamentary election.
"Given that he presents himself in public as a protector of those
who are disenfranchised, among whom, in this context, he included
Croatian war veterans, the Ministry of Croatian War Veterans is
willing to clear with Mr. Klaric all quandaries for the common
interest -- the well-being of Croatian war veterans," read the
ministry statement.
