ZAGREB, June 9 (Hina) - Croatia saw 4.15 million tourist overnight stays in this year's first five months, which is six percent less than in the same period last year. This year's May also saw an 11-percent drop in the number of
overnight stays as against May 2002, to 2.4 million.

According to tourist offices, foreign tourists accounted for 3.3
million overnight stays, a drop of eight percent compared to last
year, while domestic tourists accounted for 801,700 overnights, an
increase of two percent.
The most numerous foreign tourists in Croatia were those from
Germany, followed by tourists from Austria, Slovenia, Italy, Great
Britain, the Czech Republic, France, Bosnia-Herzegovina, the
Netherlands and Poland.
