ZAGREB, June 7 (Hina) - The Croatian People's Party (HNS) on Saturday presented a judiciary reform programme entitled "Better, Faster Judiciary" as part of a comprehensive programme with which it will run in the coming parliamentary
elections.

Saturday presented a judiciary reform programme entitled "Better,
Faster Judiciary" as part of a comprehensive programme with which
it will run in the coming parliamentary elections. #L#
The programme was drawn up and presented by attorney Anto Nobilo who
pointed to the insufficient expertise of officials and clerks in
the judiciary, as well as a lack of criteria in the election and
elimination of judges as important flaws in the Croatian justice
system.
Nobilo believes that Croatia should create a uniform system of
professional training for the entire period of justice officials'
careers, as well as a system of promoting staff and early
elimination of incompetent staff.
Nobilo suggested a number of measures, including amendments to the
Law on Civil Procedure, which should solve backlogs in courts
within five years.
