The first deed of donation, worth 350,000 US dollars, is intended to
help the work of courts and the justice ministry.
The second deed of donation, worth 368,000 dollars, is intended to
support the finance ministry in the drafting and execution of the
state budget.
According to the World Bank's regional director, Andrew Vorkink,
the donations should help the competent ministry in the
implementation of the reform in the judiciary aimed at reducing
backlogs and making courts more efficient.
The donation to the finance ministry should help in analytical
activities and the collection of data from other ministries
relevant for the preparation, drafting and execution of the budget,
Vorkink said.
Besides the last two deeds, the World Bank has ensured 12.8 million
dollars, 270.5 million yen and 352.8 thousand British pounds for
various structural adjustment projects, Crkvenac said.
