The annual growth rate of the number of employed persons is 5.2
percent, so the current number of employees in small businesses
should increase from 673,000 to 824,650, it was pointed out at
today's government session.
At the proposal of European Integration Minister Neven Mimica the
government will prepare for signing a charter on Croatia's joining
the European charter on small businesses.
The government adopted an annual report on the operation of the
Financial Agency (FINA) in 2002, when FINA realised a revenue of 893
million kuna and a net profit of 65.8 million kuna. The agency's
assets amounted to 1.67 billion kuna, while investments totalled
58.4 million.
Government members assessed the report as good, highlighting
FINA's crucial role in pension and payment operations reforms that
were completed last year.
