During yesterday's debate in the city government about the
invitation of applications for the head of the city's Urban
Planning Institute, Bandic said he would insist on the Social
Democratic Party's policy of selecting the most competent person
for the position regardless of party affiliation, "so that the
selection procedure is not a farce as it used to be in the past".
"If it is true that appointment procedures were a farce, who took
part in them, were other similar procedures also rigged, who can
guarantee that the city authorities which did this will not do the
same again and will anyone resign over this?", asked Nenad
Ivankovic of the Croatian True Revival.
Bandic said he would answer the question in writing.
