hailed a new strategy of the European Commission on the
establishment of partner relations between the European Union and
western Balkan countries, adopted on Wednesday. #L#
The document represents a positive contribution of the European
Commission to European Union preparations for a summit of countries
included in the Stabilisation and Association process, to be held
in Salonika on June 21, the foreign ministry said in a statement.
The ministry expects the Council of the European Union to adopt and
additionally strengthen proposals regarding advancing the
Stabilisation and Association process.
New measures will help Croatia implement justice reforms and fulfil
other conditions regarding its application for EU membership, the
ministry said.
The Croatian Foreign Ministry will continue to actively
participate in political and expert consultations on the Salonika
summit with the EU Troika and other countries included in the
Stabilisation and Association process.
