Tuzla-based attorney Faruk Balijagic has accused former Republika
Srpska (RS) President Mirko Sarovic, former RS Vice President and
incumbent President Dragan Cavic, Bosnia's former PM and current
Foreign Minister Mladen Ivanic, RS parliament speaker Dragan
Kalinic, former RS Interior Minister Perica Bundalo, former chief
of the Banja Luka Public Security Centre Vladimir Tutes, and former
head and current chief inspector with the RS Intelligence-Security
Service Dobro Planojevic.
According to the lawsuit, they organised people to expel a group of
Bosnian Muslims who arrived in RS capital Banja Luka on 7 May 2001 to
attend the laying of a foundation stone for a downtown mosque which
had been demolished in 1993.
One Bosnian Muslim was killed, hundreds were wounded, eight buses
were set on fire, and all Bosnian Muslims who had arrived to attend
the ceremony were expelled with stones and incendiary devices
thrown at them, states the lawsuit.
It adds that Bosnian Serb police did nothing to prevent the
incident, thus indicating that it had been in collusion with RS
leaders.
