LJUBLJANA, May 15 (Hina) - Slovenia will take the same stance as the European Union countries with regard to a demand by the U.S. on the non-extradition of its citizens to the International Criminal Court (ICC), Slovenia's Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel said on Thursday.
LJUBLJANA, May 15 (Hina) - Slovenia will take the same stance as the European Union countries with regard to a demand by the U.S. on the non-extradition of its citizens to the International Criminal Court (ICC), Slovenia's Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel said on Thursday. #L# Rupel said that the U.S. had not put any pressure on their country lately. He is confident that there will be no tension in the Slovenia-U.S. relations because of to this issue. The Slovenian Foreign Ministry stated that nothing had changed with regard to earlier requests by the U.S. to sign a bilateral agreement on the non-extradition. U.S. Ambassador in Ljubljana Johnny Young said to Slovenian Television on Thursday evening that there was still a possibility that Slovenia would sign such an agreement.
