STRASBOURG, May 15 (Hina)- Croatian Foreign Minister Tonino Picula and his Romanian counterpart, Mircea Geoana, met in Strasbourg on Thursday and discussed bilateral relations and regional co-operation, the two countries' drawing
closer to the EU, Romania's support to Croatia's membership of NATO and the construction of the Constance - Omisalj oil pipeline.
STRASBOURG, May 15 (Hina)- Croatian Foreign Minister Tonino Picula
and his Romanian counterpart, Mircea Geoana, met in Strasbourg on
Thursday and discussed bilateral relations and regional co-
operation, the two countries' drawing closer to the EU, Romania's
support to Croatia's membership of NATO and the construction of the
Constance - Omisalj oil pipeline. #L#
The two ministers met on the margings of a session of the Council of
Europe's Ministerial Committee held in Strasbourg on Wednesday and
Thursday. They discussed the upcoming visit by Rumanian president
to Croatia and the signing of a bilateral agreement on cooperation
bwith regard to European integration.
Mircea Geoana confirmed his country's support to Croatia's entry to
NATO.
There was talk about cooperation in the region particularly in the
Danube river region as well as the next Stability Pact conference,
to be held in Dubrovnik, and the EU summit to be held in Salonika.
