RIJEKA COURT REQUESTS INVESTIGATION OF 17 PEOPLE SMUGGLERS

RIJEKA, Apr 28 (Hina) - Rijeka's county court on Monday requested an investigation of a group of 17 persons suspected of illegally transferring people across the state border and selling illegal drugs. #L# The suspects were arrested on Saturday. According to the police report, they are suspected of illegally transferring across Croatian and Slovene borders at least 75 persons from the countries of the former Yugoslav region and Albania, making EUR113,000 in doing so. Four of the 17 arrested are also suspected of selling large quantities of heroin in the Pula region. (hina) ha sb
