Simonic told reporters the talks addressed the prevention,
smuggling and abuse of illegal drugs, and Croatia's relations with
Slovenia and other Western Europe countries in light of the
Schengen border.
Simonic said he suggested making Croatia one of the regional
centres of logistic support in the struggle against addiction,
organised crime, and trafficking in drugs and arms. Costa applauded
the proposal and accepted an invitation to visit Croatia, he
added.
Simonic also held talks with Slovenia's Health Minister Dusan Keber
and the director of the Slovene government's office for the fight
against drugs, Milan Krek.
They discussed cooperation in combating drugs, especially cutting
the Balkan route, and cooperation in the health sector.
