BELGRADE, April 10 (Hina) - A former Yugoslav President and the
leader of the Democratic Party of Serbia, Vojislav Kostunica, has
said he will not urge a former commander of the Republika Srpska
army, Ratko Mladic, and retired Yugoslav army general Veselin
Sljivancanin, indicted for war crimes in Vukovar in 1991, to
surrender. #L#
He said he did not agree to call on Mladic and Sljivancanin to
surrender to the Hague-based war crimes tribunal when he was head of
state. "I will not do this now either," Kostunica told today's issue
of Belgrade's daily Blic.
