The Herceg-Bosna cantonal assembly was the last one to do it, and the incomplete House of Peoples already greenlighted the formation of the new federal government whose legitimacy was disputed by two major Bosnian Croat parties -- the HDZ BiH and the HDZ 1990.
Today's election of Stipo Pelivan of the HDZ BiH and Josip Peric of the Croatian Party of Rights (HSP BiH) should yet be confirmed by the Central Election Commission.
With Peric's election, the bloc led by Social Democratic Party gets the sixth Croat representative in that coalition in the 58-seated House of Peoples in which 17 seats are designed for Croat deputies.
In mid-March, the SDP, the majority Bosniak Party of Democratic Action (SDA), the HSP of BiH and the Prosperity Through Work Party (NSRzB) established the executive authorities of the Federation entity. The two HDZ parties said this coalition disregarded the will of a majority of Croats who went to the polls for Bosnia's general elections last October.
