ZAGREB, March 27 (Hina) - The Croatian parliament at the start of Thursday's session accepted a proposal by the bench of national minorities and the committee on human rights and the rights of national minorities to postpone debating
amendments to the Election Law until Tuesday at the latest so that voting could take place on Wednesday.

The delay was requested because material for the debate arrived
late.
Under the Constitution, a new Election Law must be adopted by April
2 at the latest.
Also today, parliament endorsed a government-sponsored bill on
sports, the basic goals of which are expanding the participation of
citizens, especially youth, in sports activities, higher funds for
sports, and encouraging the building and renovation of sports
facilities.
