"A new Balkan federation is not possible, nor can anyone force
Croatia to accept such a solution," Granic told a news conference.
The DC official said the Croatian authorities had not yet
officially reacted to Papandreu's statement and a statement by
Serbian Premier Zoran Djindjic that Serbia would request a new
Dayton conference and changes to the border line in the region
should Kosovo Albanians continue to seek Kosovo's independence.
Granic said his party supported changes and supplements to the
existing Dayton Accords which would, in his opinion, strengthen the
central authority in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
