Prime Minister Ivo Sanader said at the government's session in Zagreb today that the disaster, caused by a extremely strong quake and consequent giant waves called tsunami, shocked the entire world.
He offered condolences to the head of Zagreb University, Helena Jasna Mencer, on the death of her three-year-old granddaughter, Vivian Slot, who was killed in Thailand last Sunday. Sanader also extended condolences to other families whose members died in tsunami-hit countries.
