"I think he copied some of this from me because eight months ago, together with my team of experts and independently of my presidential candidacy, I drew up a bill on property certification in accordance with a Geneva convention which says that business deals concluded in countries that are at war are null and void," Kosta said during her stop in the eastern town of Nustar.
Presenting her platform at an election rally in Osijek, Kosta said that "we live in an autocratic state which is in the service of protection of foreign capital".
Kosta, who is a lawyer by profession, said that if elected president she would advocate that Croatia's accession to the European Union should be decided exclusively at a referendum and that all documents relating to the country's entry into the EU should be declassified.
"The Croatian parliament does not represent the will of the people, but the will of leaders of political parties. If I become president, I will advocate a parliamentary state, the reintroduction of bicameral legislature, and the simultaneous conduct of parliamentary and local elections," Kosta said.
