BANJA LUKA, Dec 28 (Hina) - The interior ministry of the Bosnian Serb
entity sent the archives of the Republika Srpska Army's Main Staff to the UN
war crimes tribunal in The Hague on Tuesday. The documents were discovered in
mid-December after a search that lasted several months and involved members of
the interior ministry and the ministry of defence. The documentation was stored in 16 wooden boxes and it includes dozens
of thousands of documents of unknown content, compiled during the war in
Bosnia-Herzegovina.
"The delivery of the documents is an important element in the fulfilment
of Republika Srpska's obligations towards the Hague tribunal," the ministry
said in a statement.
The archive includes documents of the Drina Corps, whose troops seized
the eastern Bosnian enclave of Srebrenica in July 1995, after which they killed
7,800 local Bosniaks.
