The deadline for the submission of preliminary reports on the funds and amount of money presidential candidates are planning to spend in the presidential race expired at midnight on 25 December.
On Monday, candidate Anto Kovacevic sent his report by fax, the DIP said. The last candidate to submit his report was Tomislav Petrak of the Croatian Popular Party (HPS) whose reports arrived in the DIP offices on Monday afternoon.
Another two candidates -- Djurdja Adlesic and Doris Kosta -- sent preliminary reports by fax after the deadline, namely about noon on Sunday.
The DIP also reports that it has no legal possibilities to take any action against those who fail to submit preliminary financial reports on their campaigns before the set deadline.
Ivic Pasalic was the first presidential candidate to have submitted this kind of report to the DIP on 22 December. On the following day the DIP received the reports from the election headquarters of Stjepan Mesic and Boris Miksic. Last Friday, Jadranka Kosor, Miroslav Rajh, Miroslav Blazevic, Ljubo Cesic Rojs and Mladen Keser submitted their reports.
The DIP adds that at this stage of the election campaign it is not authorised to inform the public about the sums and sources of the funds for any presidential campaign.
The figures from the reports can be made public by the DIP only after the presidential elections, set for 2 January.
