ZAGREB, Dec 27 (Hina) - The Croatian telecommunications firm T-HT, inwhich the Croatian government has a 49 per cent stake, has paid 1.7billion kuna of dividends into the national budget, the FinanceMinistry said on Monday.

which the Croatian government has a 49 per cent stake, has paid 1.7 billion
kuna of dividends into the national budget, the Finance Ministry said on
Monday.The ministry said in a brief statement that the amount would be used for
the repayment of the Croatian Rail company's short-term loans for 2002 and
2003.
The decision to pay the dividends into the national budget was reached
at an extraordinary shareholders' assembly held on December 17.
