OSIJEK, Dec 11 (Hina) - Croatian People's Party (HNS) MP Antun
Kapraljevic stated in Osijek on Saturday that his party would not give up its
proposal that the parliament establish commissions to investigate how Prime
Minister Ivo Sanader and Foreign Minister Miomir Zuzul acquired their property
and to probe developments regarding bids for the third mobile telephony
operating licence."The HNS will not give up its request unless it is given guarantees that
competent state institutions have taken appropriate action to investigate
those cases," Kapraljevic said at a news conference.
The party official said that the HNS had not accepted and could not
understand Social Democrat leader Ivica Racan's appeal to the HNS to drop its
proposal.
At the next session of the parliament the HNS will propose ways to
protect citizens who point to corrupt state officials, Kapraljevic said.
