SLAVONSKI BROD, Dec 10 (Hina) - Croatian Bloc (HB) presidential
candidate Ivic Pasalic said on Friday the decision on calling presidential
elections was against the Constitution because the campaign would not last the
minimum time prescribed by the law.He told the press in the eastern town of Slavonski Brod he was
consulting some legal experts on the matter and that he would certainly lodge a
constitutional complaint.
Pasalic said that if elected president at the January 2 polls, decisions
on all significant national issues would be decided on by referendum, notably
on the pace of joining the European Union. He is against Croatia's admission to
NATO.
