Semneby said that Croatia's progress in recent years was very significant. He recalled a visit by Prime Minister Ivo Sanader to Serb returnees in the Zadar hinterland which he described as a sign of reconciliation.
He said that the OSCE mission would be represented by a smaller number of relatively bigger regional offices in Split, Zadar, Vukovar, Osijek, Sisak and Gospic. The change in the mission's structure proves Croatia's progress in solving issues regarding the OSCE's mandate.
The opening ceremony was attended by Zadar County prefect Ivo Grbic and numerous politicians, cultural workers, judicial officials and business people.
