ZAGREB, Dec 6 (Hina) - The State Prosecutor's Office and spokesmen forthe Interior Office and for the Government on Sunday evening refutedallegations by a former advisor of Croatian President Stjepan Mesic,Zeljko Bagic who said in a
TV political show earlier in the day thatcriminal charges had been pressed against Prime Minister Ivo Sanader.
ZAGREB, Dec 6 (Hina) - The State Prosecutor's Office and spokesmen
for the Interior Office and for the Government on Sunday evening refuted
allegations by a former advisor of Croatian President Stjepan Mesic, Zeljko
Bagic who said in a TV political show earlier in the day that criminal charges
had been pressed against Prime Minister Ivo Sanader.The Office of the Chief State Prosecutor and the two spokesmen told the
Croatian Television (HTV) that there was not any criminal charge pressed
against PM Sanader.
Ratko Macek, the spokesman for the government, labelled Bagic's
statement as insinuations and malicious imputations. He added that the reaction
which would ensue to this allegation would be in line with customs in
developed democracies.
