participated in a meeting of justice and interior ministers from EU countries
and countries covered by the Stabilisation and Association Process in Brussels
on Thursday. The meeting focused on the fight against organised crime.The minister informed her colleagues about the national plan to combat
corruption and organised crime, which the Croatian government adopted two
months ago.
She said that Croatia had rounded up its legal framework for cooperation
with other countries in the exchange of information and the supervision of
movement of persons linked with terrorism and organised crime.
The Brussels meeting was a continuation of a meeting held in November
2003 when five action steps were announced to combat crime in South-East
Europe.
