SPLIT, Nov 21 (Hina) - Deputy Prime Minister and Family, War Veterans
and Inter-Generation Solidarity Minister Jadranka Kosor on Sunday visited a
shelter for homeless women and female victims of domestic violence opened in
the southern seaport of Split a year ago.She announced that on International Day Against Violence Against Women,
November 25, she would present a national strategy aimed at reducing domestic
violence, which she said went up as much as 50 percent from last year.
Kosor today also visited Imotski, where she paid respects to Homeland
War Victims by laying a wreath and lighting a candle at a monument to local
soldiers.
She also met local leaders and representatives of Homeland War
associations.
