ZAGREB, Nov 19 (Hina) - The Croatian Government is diligently working
on preparations for the start of talks on admission to the European Union,
Foreign Minister Miomir Zuzul said in a note sent on Friday to new European
Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso and his commissioners, the ministry
said in a press release.Zuzul congratulated the new Commission on the European Parliament vote
and five-year mandate they were given yesterday.
In his note, Zuzul confirmed Croatia's firm intention to cooperate with
the Commission, and voiced confidence it would support Croatia's EU entry.
Croatia wishes to contribute to the further strengthening of the EU and
the building of a better future for all citizens of Europe, read the note.
